Eva’s Maternity

· September 16, 2016 · Maternity, Portrait

Life is a miracle. When I come to know about the incoming of Mini Wee, we are all excited about the great news. It is really amazing that our life journey, at one point, some of us will become parents, and have the blessing to nurture the second generation. I have know Ceasar and Eva for long and I am truly honoured to have such a pleasure to capture this memory of them as they enter into parenthood. Here are some of the photos of the day XOXO

Jessie’s Maternity

· July 11, 2015 · Maternity, Portrait

Celebrating the coming of their first child, James and Jessie decided to document this very exciting moment together with me. It is really touching every time I took the photo of a soon to be mom, and I can’t help but think of my mom: how great their love and sacrifice for their children.

It is a significant moment because 5 years ago, I am together with them as they sign their ROM, and also with them at the day they make their vow. And today, as I witness this very moment, I am truly thankful to be able with James and Jessie again.

Here are some of the shots of the day. 🙂 As advised, these are not all of the shots as the rest of the series, they decided to view privately and not to be online. I pray that they will be a great mom and dad to raise their child with love, patient and wisdom. All the best soon to be mom and dad!

Willy and Siaw Feng

· July 3, 2015 · Portrait

I’d remembered the day when both of them vow to commit to each other and it is quite disappointing when I am unable to be with them for the reception due to the assignment on the next day. And that was 4 years ago. How time flies!

Siaw Feng and Willy will make their annual trip back to Miri each year, and this year is really special. It is Siaw Feng’s birthday and this year also marked their 4th anniversary together as one. To celebrate the day, we had decided to take the shots at Miri’s only garden campus, Curtin Sarawak; since these two lovely couple meet each other in university too 🙂 Here are some of the shots of the day.

The Ling Family

· October 22, 2014 · Family, Portrait

“Family where life begins & love never ends.”

It is indeed a privilege to be a part of the Lings for the afternoon. It is so much fun capturing their laughter, funny moments and most of all, their life together as a family. The Lings are fun and loving, and it is heartwarming to see the togetherness and love among them.

Thank you all for giving me this opportunity to be there with you all! 🙂

Shirley’s Maternity

· September 10, 2014 · Maternity, Portrait

When Shirley told me her story, I can see sparkle in her eyes. Shirley and her husband had been trying hard to conceive for so many years. Such immense joy as she share how they got Jaycee and how exciting they are as they prepare to enter into parenthood.

I felt so honored to be able to document one of the important moment of her life. They came all the way from Limbang to Miri just to get the shots :,)

Here are some of the shots of her and her husband. And yea, she is one of the hardcore Sylvanian Families collector too!

Sisters

· June 2, 2013 · Outing, Portrait

I had been “hibernating” from portrait photography for quite awhile. Thanks to the gals that I am able to wake up for the “spring”, and at the beach (one of my favorite spot for portrait sessions) to do their little casual shots. The weather is just nice, love the sun as well as the breeze. We all had fun except the sandflies >,<. They sure know how to leave marks on the flesh!

Anyway, here are some of the shots of the lovely gals, Maggie and Yee Sin. Did some experimenting on some colors on the post-process too 🙂

It’s Your Style : Season 2

· April 20, 2013 · Commercial Photography, Portrait

It was a fun, sweaty and exciting 2 days at the campus. Our department: the Corporate Communications is organizing the It’s Your Style Curtin Sarawak Spokesmodel Search for the second time. This year, the participants had reached its records and we have altogether a 110 students and staff joining us, partly it is because of the attractive prizes too 🙂

Do check out the new faces on the billboards, buntings and the printed materials soon 🙂

These are some of the shots I personally like. Enjoy!

Strobing 101: Curtin Sarawak SOE Staff Profile

· February 22, 2013 · Portrait

I had been in hibernation mode since last year when it comes to photography. It is almost a statement if one lost his / her motivation, it is not an excuse to give up. Therefore, in order to pick myself up once again, the best thing is to press on and shoot! I have never been so alive once more when the shutters are pressed. It just feel like… everything comes back again within me!

Today, I’d decided to take on the work assignment with my colleague, and had try something a little different than before. Instead of a normal white wall- indoor portraits, we try to challenge ourselves with a light source + greenery outdoor! I am still very new to strobing techniques, so, it is basically an experimental, trial and error so to say!

We had fun with the colleagues who came and had their photos taken, and the outcomes are not that bad after all. I learnt a lot definitely and of course, there is still much much more to improve. There is almost “infinite” exploration in the art of lighting!

Here are some of the pics I personally like. 🙂

Lola and Mazel

· July 15, 2012 · Portrait

Working with children is priceless. To me, it is a reflective moment of life. Their giggles, laughters, smiles, cries, screams and frustration are so real. Their expressions are what it really is from the heart within. It is neither wearing a mask, nor hiding away from what they expressed. Simply pure and innocent!

Lola and Mazel are siblings. Mazel is really excited with guests around the house. According to mom, he is “unusually” exited today and he just can’t stop showing me his toys and explaining to me how it works! Haha. As for baby Lola, she is a little shy especially towards strangers. So, the session with her is a little challenging to mom and grandma, whom are so busy keeping her distracted and make her laugh.

But in the end of the day, I really really enjoy this little session and these siblings are just so so adorable. 🙂 Here are some of the shots of the day. Enjoy!
